Do these guns have a chrome lined barrel? I have been thinking about getting one but can not find one in stock locally. And can not find much info on them.

I have been having some issues and think I may know the answer. I was breaking my 459 in with light loads and had the light recoil gas valve or whatever you call it in place.  I am undergoing major renovations at my house due to a water leak and nothing is where it should be. Can't find the heavy recoil valve to save my arse.  Have been having the shell not eject all the way some.  Wondering if the recoil is driving it too far back and it is not ejecting correctly or what.  After that happened, without cleaning the gun I then fired 15 rounds in quick 3 round bursts of the light loads. The first shot jammed, then 14 loads cycled perfectly.  At first I thought this gun was that picky about cleanliness (first auto I have owned in a shotgun).  My next turkey cycled correctly (the shell ejected and the new one cycled).

So, two part question.  Could the wrong valve cause this?  Do I need to buy a new valve if I do not find the heavy load when life gets back to normal?  I looked online and did not find one, but did not look all that hard.  I have 9 months until I shoot the gun again.

Mine still has problem cycling low brass bird shot loads regardless of what valve I use.  I do have the heavy valve on the gun and it cycles turkey loads like a champ so I wasn't too worried since that's all I shoot through it.  I would call Weatherby and have them send u another heavy one.  I have read that the more you shoot it and it gets broken in it will start to cycle everything.

I don't think there's a reason to ever go back to 12ga as long as the HW#7 are made. Fun gun to carry and shoot

Wife was a little upset I was using her gun before she gets a chance to use it but her hunt is these weekend. I was just testing it out I promise

Mine came in two weeks ago and I dropped it off today at the gunsmith for trigger work.  I decided to go all in and ordered the Sumtoy choke which has come in.  I'll play with it this summer and be ready for fall season.

When and how did you order your Sumtoy?? I talked to William a month ago, and still no choke tube.

Mine should be here Friday, new guns always get expensive especially when all you have are 12 ga. Choke's ,another ff3,bore snake, brushes etc. and don't forget an abundant supply of fed Heavyweight #7. But that's what keeps it interesting between seasons. Lee
