Wanted to shoot in less than ideal conditions
« on: February 08, 2015, 04:59:26 AM »
Shot my Remington 870 sm w/ .662 hevi choke and 3.5/2/6 longbeards at a lasered 40 yds. It was abot 33 outside with 20mph winds. I wanted to see what would happen in these types of hunting conditions.

Man that would crush ol' toms head slap inside out son!!! And the best thing about it  is that it will only get better after the temp goes up a bit. I patterned my 835 w/ TG ssx yesterday w/ longbeard 3.5" 5 shot and and got awesome numbers!! Check out my pattern in the patterns section titled 835 w/ ssx :turkey2:si :turkey2:

Looking good!
The addiction will cost you time and money and alienate those close to you. I can give you the names of a dozen addicts — myself included — whose wives begin to get their hackles up a week before turkey season starts and stay mad until a week after it closes.

Count the pellets in the 3" circle.
You may have beaten the the new
NWTF Record!  Holy crap. That looks good!

I doubt it. I'm happy with it but I didn't think it was as good as alot I've seen on here. Those longbeards are great shells though.

I'm serious BammaSlamma!
If that is a 3" circle and truely 40 yards
It is a spectacular pattern with lead 6's
Let me know if 3" circle at number of hits

Its 40yds +/- 1 yd according to my Bushnell scout. I did measure the circle its 4 3/8 in. I didn't count the pellets.
