My new turkey killer
« on: January 19, 2015, 04:38:48 PM »
Most of the public land that I hunt in MD doesn't allow shotguns for the spring turkey season. I don't know the turkeys up here at all and I know that I will need to be mobile. So, I had the idea to use a crossbow the same way I would a shotgun by leaning up against a tree. This is an Excalibur matrix 355, hopefully she'll see some action this spring.

Nice rig. I use the excalibur vortex for deer hunting and eventually give turkey a try with it. Are you using any special btoadheads? Good luck.
