Fall turkey season
« on: September 03, 2014, 01:33:50 PM »
I'm finally getting pumped about fall turkey season. It's been a busy summer but I got 50 lb limbs for my Hoyt and enjoy shooting it. Can't  wait to get after em.

Got out this weekend. Called in a couple of flocks. The first flock came in but I couldn't get a shot. The second flock came in but not into decoys. The brood hen flew up on a log and tried to get me to join em'. Ten minutes later a button buck got to close and got the shaft.

Got my 2 archery tags filled. I shot a hen and a jake. Went out with my buddy last sat. and called in a flock of jakes and he filled his 2 tags. Saw a couple longbeards in with a winter flock of 60 plus. It was a good hunt.

Hen down with a shotgun. Now that Thanksgiving is covered, bow and arrow come out.
