DIY shoot'n sticks
« on: March 20, 2014, 02:58:25 PM »
The old thread lost its pics and is old.  Sooo...

I wrote up a new DIY pictorial the best I could remember, enjoy!

Just made these, but instead of the driveway markers, I used the green plant stakes from the gardening section.  Weight is about the same, they're steel core, green and come in long sizes so you can have a shooting stick for when you're standing (was really looking for a stick to use when slipping around looking for hogs).

I used old arrows. Had a bit of trouble trying to figure out that bottom ring but got it. Thanks for the pics

I'm going to try to make one into a tri-pod tonight.  I'll post pictures if I figure it out OK.

A tripod would be pretty easy.

Cut 1 stick shorter and use the system I show making the bottoms flush when done.  Then just a take a matching long stick and repeat.  The 3rd leg on the tripod is shorter so it does not interfere with the gun cradle.

That's what I was thinking of doing.

Farm  and Fleet in my neck of the woods.  But any store that has an agriculture section, they are castration bands. :begging:
