Long Beard 3 inch #5's through M3500
« on: February 21, 2014, 11:19:45 PM »
I finally got the chance to try these out today. These did shoot right on without drop. I did shoot to the right because I jerked both times. I shot once earlier in the day but forgot to take a picture. I had 184 in a 10 inch circle. I had better results the second time (Pictured). If you count yourself, you might miss the holes where 3 bb's went through. All in all, I'd say this was a dead turkey if I hadn't jerked or if it were running hahaha. I'd also appreciate advice on how not to jerk so much before the shot. The M3500 has a long trigger pull. It didn't bother me with ducks.

Nice pattern,
get a trigger job, talk to a gunsmith to see what he can do.
If nothing than get to shooting more , if this is you first time shooting in a while you could just be a bit jittery. I know i can be at the rifle range, i always shoot a few shots with something before i test for accuracy with reloads. Maybe shoot some bird loads to warm you up.
Practice Practice Practice. :fud:  good luck

Headed to the range today.  I've got almost the same set up only shooting the M3000.  Looks promising!

A trigger job would certainly help. Congrats on a great pattern. But I can't help but think that for those that swear they would neveer shoot a turkey beyond 40 yds, there might be better choices of shells out there. These LBs are really laying them in there. But for me, at 40 yds, I would rather have a Winch HV or XX that puts 100-120 in the 10 with a nice full 20 than a LB that crushes the 10 but leaves the 10-20 ring that thin. That picture is a miss.
