I finally tested this choke in my 28" barreled 870 and just like the 21 and 23 inch guns I tried them in the setup liked Magnum Blends.  But this time there was only one pellet difference.

3" magnum blends

3" Hevi 6s

No, I haven't taken the time to polish any of my barrels. But to be honest with the patterns from all three guns being close to the same, I probably never will.

Those are very impressive patterns with the Magnum Blends

Looks like that choke is a winner.  That #6 pattern is very good.

It is a winner for sure. It impressed me with such even results from gun to gun. I was gonna do the same test with the JH but I know it won't compare cause it don't perform like the Hevi did in the short barreled gun.
