I found a picture of a home kiln and how it works if anyone is interested.  Nice thing about it can be made small or large depending on your needs.  note on the photo the plate with the holes on top.  just replace with a solid top.  This size is good for turning blocks for calls but would not be large enough for lumber.   make it bigger add more lites, etc.  just have to experiment to get right temp.

I found a easy way with what I already have.

Spacer sticks for stacking.
Dehumidifier
Box fan
Tarp.

Stick and stack the lumber.  Cover with a tarp.  Place box fan on one end of pile dehumidifier the other.  And let it do its thing.  Works great.  Of course this only works when temps are 70 and above.  Otherwise the dehumidifier freezes up.

I would like to get some information as well. I been looking at that for the last few years. Never found anything that was small enough and practical enough.

That's not a bad idea. Using the heat from lightbulbs for a heat source. I imagine if you could rig up a small fan inside to circulate the air around slowly it would help even more. An electric fan that goes inside an old broken computer tower would probably work just fine in a small project kiln. That looks like just about the right size for drying call blanks.

When I started to build recurve bows I had to build an oven to bake the laminated limbs and one piece bows in.  The oven that I built is somewhat similar in the it is aluminum lined to reflect the heat and works on the same principle using the light bulbs.  You could hook up some type of thermostate to this when you build it so that the temp stays consistant at what ever temp you want.  Neat idea!!!
