Should I switch choke or load

I would try to rule everything out before I bought a new choke. That combo should be good for 200 in a 10". Paper size, Yardage taped, Temperature, wind, barrel clean or dirty. Its possible that your gun just doesn't like that tube, but most do.

I hear what you're saying and I realize I'm the exception to the rule.  I'm  a pretty methodical person and I know yardage, barrel, temp, and wind were all taken in to account when I did my patterning.

This is definitely not a bash pure gold thread.  I just think my gun doesn't like it.  We will see.

Yeah, no kidding.  I contacted Pure Gold by email and Bradley recommended the Nitro loads.  I actually bought the Pure Gold thinking I would be able to shoot off the shelf ammo.

I think I would ask for my money back.

Time to go with another choke.

I had the same thing happen with my 870. With H13 3.5-2.25-7 and JH660  most guys get over 250 I think. I could only get about 180. Switched to PG670 and now get 290-300. You just never know until you try.

Sometimes the factory gets it right.
My encore shot 51% in the  10"at 40 yards with a factory choke.
