Mossy 535 with SSX.  Shot 3" mag blends and 3 "Fed HW #7's. Barrel has been polish and deep cleaned. 40 yards from bench to target. 60 degs and windy. What should i use???

MAG BLENDS =147 in 10" at 40yrds

FED HW  7's=142 in 10" at 40 yrds

HWT's if it were me. Same numbers, but heavier pellets flying faster!

Nice even pattern too if you hold it on his waddles he is going to have a BAD HEADACHE!!!

I would never base my decision on one shot with each shell. But if those results are consistent, I would shoot the HWs hands down. HW 7s will outpenetrate every pellet in the MBs, including the 5s.

What length was your barrel?

noggin buster

24 inch barrel. Those were the best patterns. Worst pattern was 119 with HW 7's. After a few shots i was a bit jerky on the trigger. :z-guntootsmiley:

Both are killers. Are you going try a different choke? Maybe the gun likes a little more open choke and might improve. If not, you're good to go anyway.

Tried a 670 and it was all over the place

Federal Heviweights. They will hit like a runaway freight train!
