Mineral Stained Poplar.. Question

Hey all! I'm new on this site and looking for advise. I sell a lot of mahogany but I was wondering if you guys use much Mineral Stained Poplar...

The GAYS here really aren't interested in any soft wood. 

The GUYS here use mineral stained poplar quite often for making turkey calls.
