hunting numbers?

what do you guys consider good hunting number? today at 40 taped yards i got 364 in the 20in circle shooting the mossy 835 with 2oz magblends and the tightwad choke, i know that will kill anybird infront of me and im happy with it, i just want to know what you guys consider good killing numbers. :z-winnersmiley:

sounds good to go to me assuming they are evenly spaced. Think about it this way, Are there any holes inside that pattern where a turkeys head and neck could fit and not get hit?

some people worry way to much about a bunch of holes in pieces of paper
if it is a good over all even pattern,it should be a great hunting pattern

I like Jay Langston's rule of thumb of 100 pellets in a 10" circle at 40 yards. Pretty simple.

100 in the 10'' is a good pattern.
But to evaluate your combo(load/choke) I suggest percentages.
30 to 50% in the 10" at 40 and 70 to 100% in the 20" at 40.

To evaluate maximum range I suggest 100 in 10" and 1.5" penetration.

yours is plenty adequete but you may find a better one.
