MOStrutter

I have a 27" draw length and shoot 60 pounds.  The bow I had hunted with until recently only went 265 fps and I had nothing but complete pass throughs on everything I shot with it. (Deer, turkey, and hogs.)  I shoot Carbon Express Maxima Hunters with 100 grain 3 blade Rages and Blazer vanes.  NO WRAPS or illuminated knocks on the back.  I am a firm believer that the less weight you have towards the rear of that arrow the better off you are when it comes to penetration.  A lot of game is lost by taking/making bad shots.  A bad shot will happen from time to time but remember to never take quarting to shots on deer and not shoot turkeys through the breast.  A fixed blade may work best for the low KE you are shooting but a good mechanical in the right spot is deadly.
