Maple vs Persimmon

I'm looking for some input on a red slate. I'm torn between a maple and persimmon pot. Which do you all prefer and who do you suggest? Any and all help greatly appreciated!!

I have one of Mark's persimmon pots with a red slate. It's a great call that I don't use just for the fact I have too many to choose from haha. Definitely a good choice.

Both are hard, but I like maple.
