I thought I had seen one posted on OG. Am I wrong or was it lost during the crash? I have seen several on YouTube but they leave a lot of details out. Any help would be appreciated.

I know those things are guarded and understand. My questions are what tool do you take out the inside wood of pot when turning? Is it better to to drill sound holes out before taking all wood out? Thanks!

I use only a parting tool (3/32nds) to remove all of the inside of my pots.

I use a faceplate to turn my pots, so I drill 1/8" pilot holes for each hole in my soundhole pattern before turning.  The faceplate has 4 screws, so 4 of these holes get screws run into them for turning.  The 1/8" pilot holes allow me to quickly center the tip of a brad point bit for drilling my sound holes.

As with all callmakers each has their own idea of how to make their calls, I too, fall under this shadow, I use changeable chucks to turn my pots on one lathe. I drill my sound ports after I turn the pot. I use an 1/4" gouge to cleanout my inside until I get ready to make my pedestal then I go to my 3/32" parting tool. Having the ability to change out jaws on a four jaw chuck gives me such an adavantage, as my calls may be single or dual purpose, this works out a lot better for me then a face plate.
Concerning a video or tutorial in turning pot calls, you will be best to do a search and go from there.
