I just got done cutting up a few stumps. One is a piece of eucaliptus and the other is the Pepperwood stump. Thanks to Wendell who helped me with how to prepair this wood. Now I just have to wait for it to dry. I didn't know I was going to have to have patience with call making as well as turkey hunting.

Joe you may want to trim off the checked ends, that will help keep it from cracking any father?

I think that the drying rate there in Ca. is something like 1" per year to get to maybe 10 to 12% moisture content.  If you seal the ends with anchorseal or latex paint you might cut down on the checkering factor.  Good luck with your wood.
