snake boots/ gaiters

For the first time I am headed to a turkey hunt that advises snake protection. What do you good people recommend?

I prefer boots over gaiters. But I think it's personal opinion. I'm sure gaiters would be nice at times.

I prefer turtle skin gaiters

I have both. If it hot I prefer the gaiters and hiking boots.

I have both.  My snake boots are really comfortable so I prefer them if I am going to be hiking or hunting in relatively dry conditions.  If it is marshy or really wet, I will wear gaiters over my muck boots.  Some people like hiking boots with gaiters.  I think there is a lot of personal preference and tailoring to your conditions.

Prefer snake boots IF you get a comfortable pair.  Most folks prefer gaiters because they have comfortable hikers.
