I bought a new mossberg 500 20ga camo a few years ago but haven't shot it. What is the go to choke and shell combo. I was thinking of using Winchester longbeard in a 3" #5.

a friend of mine's oldest son has carried a Mossberg 500 20ga since he was about 14 years old. he is now 32. he has always used the factory full tube and whatever ammo he could grab cheap. he never fails to get at least one gobbler every season. last year he stepped up to LB #5 or #6's and a big box UnderTaker choke tube and is beyond pleased. he said he still likes them about 30yds but this combo sure did give him an insurance policy for another 10yds if he needs it.

Great gun, mine shoots Hevi #7's well, Magblends as well. Currently with a Trulock choke. I haven't s the LB's.

I ordered a .555 Indian creek for it. I'll see what it does with the longbeard #5's. I might order some tss for it, if the pattern isn't very satisfying.

I've got a 500 Super Bantam with an Indian Creek .555 choke. I'm going to pattern it this coming weekend with Apex Greenleaf blends (9's and 10's) and some Verdict 9's. I'll have some pattern pics up by Sunday evening if everything goes as planned.

Before I switched to a 410 I used super bantam 20g with a Carlson (not sure on restriction). I shot the #7 heavy weights before the long beards came out for the 20 then switched over to those. It patterned great with both but the long beard #6 actually were better than the federal 7's on a pattern board for me

Is still have quite a few hevi shot and long beards for it but sadly I only have 3 federal heavy weights left. I killed 5 toms with it, the furthest was 35-40yard closest was 12yards
