I bought a wood haven one, it just sounds like a dog whistle to me. It didn't come with any instructions and ive never found a video of someone using one so I dont know if im doing it wrong or right

Something not right here. Don't know if it's you or the call. Mine's pretty realistic

I have used a Wingsetter duck caller with good results as a Red Tailed Hawk sound making device for over forty years.  It also serves as a great kee kee caller, however it doesn’t function as a hawk call any more because I have taped up one of the output holes so I can do a couple of yelps immediately following the kee Kees.

I picked up a Harrison owl screamer this year.  The reed can be adjusted in the field to get  hawk or woodpecker sounds.

Was looking at the Woodhaven. Found it on sale.

I have never used a hawk screamer and wondered about the results.

James Harrison makes a screamer, I think he makes two versions.
