At the end I'm posting an interesting observation at 60 yards.

Here is an interesting observation. At 60 yards the bb's barely penetrate the board. Mind you, this wood is older & a fairly soft particle board.

I definitely wouldn't take a 60 yard shot on a turkey. Coyotes rear end yes. I thought the #4's would have punched a little better from a 28" barrel.

Goes to show though. It may print on paper decent, but not optimal penetration.

Those are excellent and devastating patterns with #4s.

Thanks & I agree. I just can't pull myself over to the tss side just yet when 4's are patterning like that for me. Honestly I want the least amount of pellets that will pack enough punch to despatch. I hate bruising up or biting down on pellets that hit in the breast.

I get the tss out penetrates, but out to 50 I'm solid with the four's. If I miss it's on me & not the shell. No amount of bb's will fix that.

Now if they started making all number 5 or 6 tss I'd consider it. Just not a fan yet of the number of pellets in tss combos. Too many for my liking on sweet turkey meat.
