With a Lynch Jet Slate peg striker, my trough call is a player....I would hunt with it without hesitation, but I was hoping to build something that would run with a regular pot call style striker.  Several people commented they thought the glue I used to glue down the slate may be contributing to the problem.  I didn't plan on making but one or two trough calls, so I wasn't anticipating problems with a simple trough call....LOL!!! This is the reason I don't make pot calls.......
