I don't have a Franchi but a .525 Indian Creek shoots great in my SA-28.

A 48AL in 28 gauge would be slick. I have one in 12 and it's a great older gun.

I shoot the factory full in mine. Shoots great. You might give it a try.

Jebs XF in my Beretta 28 A400 Xplor is awesome with either Foxtrot Cherry bomb 9.5 1.5oz or Rogue 9.5 1 7/8oz.

If you have any of the factory chokes, start with the tightest one,  improved modified/modified  if you don't have the full.
I am shooting factory full choke in my 28 and I am blown away by the pattern.  Foxtrot 9s,  1.5 ounce 340 in  the 10 at 40 yards
In my CZ Sharptail 20 gauge I am shooting the factory full choke and the factory improved modified. Awesome with Federal 8/10s

Have a good one, Bo
