Striker darken ceramic pot

Man I just started using a ceramic pot, and I used the same striker I used on my aluminum pot on my ceramic and I guess it still had a little aluminum gunk on it and my ceramic on my pot has started turning black where I've played on it.. I don't think this will affect anything but I now know how messy metal pots can gunk up strikers..

With your ceramic pot just clean it with alcohol wipe if you have any and in between just use a scotch brite pad on it to keep it clean.. keep your striker tips clean by twisting it back and forth on the scotch brite pad and that ceramic will sing out loud .... Ceramic and crystal are 2 of my favorite call surfaces among other surfaces.
