Little brother
« on: September 19, 2022, 09:07:07 AM »
After turning the first Davis yelper I had a smaller piece of micarta left over. I thought about it a bit and decided to try and turn a shorter version of the call. This one is 5 1/2" minus the wingbone. I also antiqued the brass. I was hoping to do this on the first call but couldn't find the bottle of solution I once had so I ordered some and used it here. It's a neat little caller that I'm looking forward to using in the woods this fall. Thanx for the look.

They turned out nice.

Another sharp looking Davis yelper! The brothers should do the job on the turkeys.

Now you really don’t need two of them, Bill. I’ll take whichever one you want

Thanx guys. Waiting 10 years to do this was well worth it. I think with time came the patience to try and get it right. They're not perfect but huntable for sure.
