Is this gap ok?

I bought an escort youth 20 gauge and a carlsons long beard choke for it with Remington threads based on a post here. Just like that post, there's a small gap between the barrel and the shoulder of the choke and I just want to make sure it's ok to shoot. The choke is fully seated in the barrel.

My IC's don't sit flush on my Mossberg's but they run just fine and haven't had any issues with them getting stuck or anything like that. Looks about the same gap wise as yours only the IC isn't coated below the rim so there's a tiny bit of silver in the gap on mine and is aesthetically worse.

I wouldn't worry about it.

That gap is not unusual and won't hurt anything. Where you don't want a gap is where the end of the choke tube opposite from the muzzle end meets the shoulder inside the barrel. A gap there could ruin your day.

Thanks for the info. It's definitely seated all the way. No gap inside the barrel at all. Thanks again
