Cva scout .410
« on: April 23, 2022, 02:00:36 PM »
My first post! So I got my hands on a new CVA Scout .410!  It’s a nice gun and a lot more comfortable to carry than my super black eagle!  For the time being I have outfitted it with a Feyachi Amazon red dot from an older AR.  I have held zero and served it’s purpose on one of my AR’s , I figure it will work for the time being until I buy a vortex venom.  I patterned the gun with Apex turkey ninja 9.5s and was really surprised how much shot was in the kill zone!  One of the selling points was the gun coming with the Jebb’s turkey choke.  Yet I am hearing I need to upgrade to an Indian Creek choke.  Are the Indian Creek tubes that much better????

Jebs and Indian Creek are both great chokes. Indian creek may or may not improve your pattern. If you feel that your current setup produces a good hunting pattern I wouldn't change anything.

I have the same gun shooting the same loads. The Jebs and Indian Creek .385 both put around 145 in the 10" at 40. The Indian Creek was a tiny bit more even. I am now shooting a CNC .390 that shoots in the 150's but also shoots bigger shot better. I'm going to list the Indian Creek for sale at some point soon.

I’ve had the scout .410 for 3years. I’ve tried a pile of tss through mine. I had a .390 Indian creek shooting foxtrot legends 1oz of #9.5x10 and it shot north of 200” at 40yds even up to 215” I switched it up after a buddy found a lil bit cheaper shell. I did take a bird with the foxtrot Indian creek combo.

Nitro T4106 #9x10 and the Jebs .385 shot 190s”
Nitro T4100 #9.5 shoot right at 200” with the .385jebs, I took my last bird with this combo this spring.

The .385 Jebs, blew ninjas, blew legends,
The .390 Indian creek blew the legend #9.5 not the legend #9.5x10.

I settled on the .385 and the T4100 #9.5s, it shoots lights out bought a 25rd box and it’s not changing till I’m out of shells.

I toasted a gobbler today with my new CVA .410 with the factory jebs and apex turkey ninja 9.5 at 42 yards today!  Dropped dead as a hammer no flop!  There was feathers and blood everywhere!  If any one has any doubts about this set up…..it’s  the real deal!!!!!!!!
