I know this can be debating forever but what decoy do you guys usually set up?

I had a bird come running at me last year when I put up a funky chicken when he was in a field with 4 hens.   My nephew shot him at 20 yards.   Then I've had other times when they run AWAY from the funky chicken.  I've also had birds look at a single hen decoy and walk in then others walk away.    :z-dizzy: :z-dizzy: :z-dizzy: :z-dizzy: :z-dizzy:

I have used a jake and hen decoy in the past on private, now mostly run an gun on public, to dangerous to use.

I have a funky chicken for field hunts, but have yet to use it, mainly because I seldom hunt fields, anymore.

I usually setup a hen & jake. If I hunt a later season, I'll leave the jake in the truck. I've had a full strut gobbler for years, but I rarely take it out.

I mostly hunt fields and use avian x lcd. I'll mix it up some as the season goes but the general setup is a feeding hen a sitting hen and a small strutting tom on a turning stake.
