My mother

She lives in the woods in the corner of Yoderland.  She's my #1 scouting partner.   :you_rock:

Called me last night to tell me there were turkeys in her bottom yard yesterday morning.  Bunch of jakes.......at least 6 or 7 longbeards........but she said it was hard keeping track because they were doing some chasing around and fighting.  But by her estimation, there were 55-60 birds that crossed her yard.

Sounds like they've wintered well.  Yep.
The good Lord ain't made a gobbler I can't kill.  I just gotta be there at the right time on the day he wants to die.

I love hearing that kind of news!  I saw a good flock at one of our spots here with 50ish birds and there were 7-8 gobblers in there. It looks like they did well here too.
