Thanks for the input everyone. I agree on steel, and wasn't thinking clearly, because yes that could be bad. I ended up getting a FF3 and went 2/2 on birds this year. Going to deep clean and polish before next season.

I would not run ANY steel through choke that tight.

I have an old 835 with a a .690 Jelly head. It shoots 3.5 mag blends very well.

I’d have to agree what was said above^ Deep clean..
Don’t shoot steel
 I’ve had a couple of red dots on mine, they couldn’t withstand that cannon. They all crapped out.
Get some bolt on riffled sights. Jmo..
Them 835’s are great turkey guns and produce some great patterns. Search the forum and check em out.
