This doesn’t have anything to do with the new Sitka turkey vest but this is the Sitka ascent vest I bought a few years ago and it is for a minimalist, very light and cool, you can carry a box call, 2 pot calls and strikers, a couple diaphragm calls, cell phone, a few shells and maybe have a small pocket left over. It fits high on your chest so you can reach into the pockets of your coat if you’re wearing one. They’ve been discontinued but you can still find them if you’re interested. Ok, I’ll let you guys get back to searching for your new turkey vest.

So far, it looks like a typical failed attempt at a turkey vest by a company that should probably stick to big game.  I like their clothing, but that's not doing much for me.  Their packs fall in the same category, stick to what you know.... clothing.

Saw it. $250.00. Not interested in the slightest.

What is not to like?    I am not looking for a vest but good to see options.  Was hoping they came out with a modular chest pack type rig and some turkey specific clothing.

I like to see what it actually looks like and it's features, I think that run and gun is pretty decent vest with a few flaws.

Even if I loved it I'd wait for a sale. Even if it's quality gear there's still a price increase for brand recognition. Almost all my sitka, first lite, kuiu, ect ive found sales or promos

Hmm, well you can't see much there.  For starters, I'll say all that padding is just bizarre and unnecessary if you have a proper fit to begin with.  I have less on my western pack I carry 100 lbs. in.

Found 3 new pics online. Not sure how to post them on here its the wrong format, but I’ll definitely be passing on it. If anyone knows how to post a jpeg let me know I’ll post them or send them to you.

still not great pics and tough to tell all that's going on but it's fun to speculate

Adjustable size.
I love that there is really no fabric along the side of the body, just front and back panels.
Heavy padding (too much).
Looks like an upright box call pocket.
Strikers aren't going to stay put where they are.
Lanyard on the shoulder strap for a locator call (i'd never use that).
No sternum strap...kinda need that.
Butt pad looks decent and easy to tote and deploy.
Pouch looks convertible with the compression straps.

all in all it looks like they filled a niche between a traditional vest and a minimal vest.  it's enough for me to want to see and try on in person.

Too many options that are as good or better that cost considerably less. Camo is a personal choice and for spring turkey hunting I just dont like it.
