What board thickness is needed for making a pot call?  I assume 1" thick.

Depends on how thick you make your pot.

Not sure how thick I want to make it.  Just want to order the right-sized boards.  I imagine 1" thick is pretty standard.

4/4 boards. A planer helps to get it exactly where you want it but you can also shave some off on the lathe.
