Well, boys.............

I reached out to a feller who is.............well...........as impeccable and knowledgeable source as you'll likely find on these calls.   He did some looking into things and I will directly quote his bottom-line reply.

"These calls are absolutely the real deal".

We, then, had some discussion as to the wherefor's and how-to's.......which I wont detail.  But, I trust this guy's assessment 110%.
I would have never thought that. Especially the one in the picture. But that’s definitely good to know.

If that's true, I guess it was Otoro I was smelling. I don't like Sushi though.

Good luck to those playing their hand at auction.

Yep.  I'm with you guys.  Look back at my previous posts.  I only own one Cost short box.  But I've eaten and digested every detail I could from quite a number that I have looked at.  I was convinced 2 or 3 of the auction boxes had too many inconsistencies to be authentic.

But.......... Apparently, Neil did not always....or maybe even quite often.....follow the "playbook".  At least, not as much as I (as well as many others, I think) had lead myself to believe.

I would agree that he didn't always follow the play book. He wouldn't have become the master that he was.

MAJOR CORRECTION :

The gentleman with whom I've been having conversation about these calls contacted me this morning.  Under second inspection, and his personal phone call to the auction house, 2 of the calls are being pulled from auction at this time.

Anyone know how much the other "authentic" calls sold for?
