« on: June 14, 2021, 12:02:39 PM »
Hi guys, finally able to get back in the shop and trying to catch up. I appreciate everyone's patience. Just wanted to share a few with you that were just finished. Bubinga, Blackwood, Bocote. Thanks

Mighty fine looking calls.  Sometimes Bubinga can knock your socks off!  I wonder what a Tulipwood trumpet would look like with good figure.  Haven’t seen one.  Maybe it’s not dense enough.

Tulipwood is slightly denser/heavier than Bubinga, but very close. Tulipwood is a rosewood which usually translates into good tonal characteristics. I used Bubinga on acoustic guitars before and it sounded good, so guessing it would on trumpets too.

That Bubinga looks a lot like Snakewood, beautiful calls Daryl.
