Down to the wire
« on: May 10, 2021, 04:52:26 PM »
Bretheren,

The race is very close here in the final stretch between us and the Crudesayers who seem to have run out of gas on the track. We still have some heavy hitters out in the field who need our encouragement and backing!

Focus on those hawgs and long spurred Sultans. Their harems will be deserting them soon and they will be especially susceptible to those enticing love chirps and horny purrs that lead to their sweet demise.

Be the ultimately dangerous hunters that you have trained your whole life to be!

Cheers  ;D

Stupid work is in the way today.  I have friends in VA and WV both telling me this is the best gobbling they have heard all spring.  Hopefully they take a break tomorrow and start again on Thursday morning.

I bet they didn’t hear much gobbling in Virginia today.

Played the game perfectly this morning. Mounting my gun when he went behind a rock, when he clears it he will be 25 yards. But the hen that snuck in behind me was a real b¥£€h and putted . He slunk back into the trees and gobbled off. Story of my life.  ????

Gaaahhh! I hate when that happens. I feel your pain.

I had an Arkansas gobbler 1 second away from meeting his maker when the family bloodhound, tracking me by scent, showed up at exactly the wrong moment and wiped the slate clean.

I had a buddy sitting on a farm in VA listening to 5 gobblers hammering for almost 2 hours.

Located my lost birds yesterday.   Two are absolute STUDS. One with spurs almost ivory white and at least 1 1/2" long.  Hes been around now for going on 5 years.  Have cam footage of him 3 years ago and he has gotten to be a true slob.  Heading out tomorrow to see if I can lay him down...
