What are you guys using?  I don't want to use the same bino I use for deer because they are to big and heavy.  I'm looking to keep them smaller and lighter.  I had been using vortex diamondback 8x28 but the eye relief is to long and it's a pain to find the right spot when using them.  This year I tried a pair of vortex vanquish 10x28 and they are just not on the level of what I'm used to using. Low light sucks (to be expected with a 10x28)  eye cups keep moving and not the clearest.

Kowa BDII XD 6.5x32.

Excellent glass, compact size, and does the job in the woods or fields for me. I found I liked them so much after last season that my more expensive 10x42s took a back seat last fall for deer.

I think if you do a search, we discussed this back couple months ago on the forum. Everyone has different opinions about what they use for turkey bino.. I have always use a pair of vortex diamondbacks 10x28 with no problems.

Maven B2 9x45.  Same that I use for deer hunting. Wearing them in a chest harness makes them no issue  as far as weight or being in the way.

I've tried compact binoculars and despise them. I'm also a rarity, I tried Vortex and the quality was bad enough that I gave them to a friend of mine's kid. I personally think that Vortex is one of those brands that were made popular by putting them in the hands of every "pro" hunter on TV.

Same as T/C Encore, when they first came out, T/C put them in everyone's hands and they quickly became the rage.

Pros promoting freebies doesn't equate quality

Did you twist out the eye cups on the Diamondbacks for low eye relief?  If they are all the way then its for wearing glasses.  I have the 8x32s and love em.

I have the Swarovski CL pocket 10x25. I really like them and they seem work well in low light even though they are a smaller objective lens.

I bought Bushnells.  Kinda wish I'd seen those when shopping.  Weight matters and those are as light and may work even better.

When I got them I was absolutely dumbfounded by the clarity and light gathering. I think they’re the most underrated binocular on the market. Super cheap for the quality you get. Highly recommended.

Bausch and Lomb 6x25 Custom Compact binocular. 11 ounces and
a great binocular for the timber hunter. Unfortunately they haven't been made in quite a while.
