Went yesterday eve and found a flock of 11 gobblers in a field shortly before fly up. Watched them ease into the woods and listened to them roost gobble and go to bed.
Went into the same field this morning and set up about 100 yards from their roost. When they flew down the group split and went opposite directions and away from me. I backed up and got some high ground and put out a strutter and two hen decoys. Wasn’t long before one group made their way back to where I was originally at. They saw the decoys and a little bit of soft calling brought them in on a rope. First bird got the TSS.
