Obviously it's not me!!
I've been hunting off and on since March 20th. But I've also been jumping through hoops almost daily trying to buy a place in Tennessee. I sold my place in Florida and am temporarily living in my camper at my hunt camp in SC. Trips to Tennessee, and spending most days on the phone and computer have taken up a lot of my time.
Then when I hunted my usual place in SC, I quickly found that the birds have pretty much disappeared. So the guy I lease from let me try another property that he hadn't hunted in years. It too was devoid of birds. So now he's letting me try another place. I know there are turkeys in the area, but have yet to set foot on the property. We'll see.
If nothing else, I've got a hunt in Texas later this month, and then a Mexico Goulds hunt the first week of May. So I'm sure I'll score, but when and where remains to be seen.
Good luck guys!!!

Good luck Rut, hope you find you a good place in TN, It’s been good to me thus far, seems like there’s a strutter in every field.

That's what's odd, SC use to have a bird in every field but not any more. I can't figure out why.

My opener in NY is May 1st which is a Saturday and every yahoo will be in the woods for sure. Therefore, i may wait until Monday for the woods to calm down. My annual challenge is the woods’ overcrowding and the kids on ATVs.

Anyway, good luck Rut with a new find in TN and good luck to our Team .... knock ‘em dead. I am confident that we will be contenders this year. Regards, Murph.
