Retay 20 gauge, what chokes and ammo work best

Need help on finding a choke and ammo load that work best in a Retay 20 gauge (new gun) !

I went with a Sumtoy .570 and Apex 9's..   Had the choke in less than a week from William.  Good luck finding just about any shells....

Jebs was out of 560, so they sent a 555.  Shot it with Federal Custom Shop 10’s .  At 35 yds it was good, but not impressed at 45.  Jebs said I can send it back for a 560 .  May try that with Apex.

Apex had 20 gauge #8s and Ninja 8.5s in stock as of 4:30PM today...no 9s.

I was able to order 9s last night a little after 9pm eastern. Looks like they are still in stock as of right now.

I have been waiting almost a full month on my order,ordered about 250.00 dollars worth of ammo around March 14 and still haven’t received it....I called them and they said their website had been outselling what they have and they have been out of 9  for over two weeks.....I hope I get them soonseason starts 17th and can’t find ammo nowhere for a new gun I have,may have to take my old one...it I was in real need of shells I don’t know if I would trust that ammo being In stock at apex...you may end being like me and still waiting for almost a month.

That sucks. I just got the email saying my 20 gauge #9s are shipping. Ordered last night.

I logged on while ago,I ordered mine on March 16 and it still says it is processing....I’m going to call them tomorrow and tell them either send me mine or refund my money,it’s been long enough especially when people are getting theirs who ordered them the day before and I been waiting 3 weeks,I wish I could post a pic I would show you my order,it’s crazy...

I just ordered the same ammo as Matt from Apex. Shows the 20ga 3” 1 5/8oz #9 in stock.

I’ve been stocking up for a gun I don’t even have yet so I can pattern it when it arrives. I ordered an M2 20ga 24” in black in January. I don’t think it will arrive in time to get it drilled/tapped for the Burris FF3 and patterned. Our season starts May 1.

I wouldn't think so. Anything that was in stock on their site that I ordered has arrived within 5+/- days of ordering, 12 or 20. I would be getting them on the phone.

Talked to them yesterday and they said it was were I had such a variety of different 12 and 20 guage,they load 12 guage 9’s one day,small town blend another and so on....said they should have all mine done on Wednesday or I could trade out the others for straight 9’s which I didn’t want to do because I was wanting to see which I like best before I get a ton of one load....anyway shot some rougue ammo today,which is actually in stock and have always gotten in two days,....it shot awesome especially being the only shells I have tried in the new 20 guage,put 352 in a ten inch circle at 40  with a good even pattern all around so i will probably just hunt them and then pattern the apex after I tag out.... the rougue was pretty impressive at 20,30,40,45 ...shooting that retay turkey xt and a rob Robert’s .560...

Got my apex ammo finally while ago and had my correct order form in it but not only was one of them the wrong shot,8 shot instead of 9 But they shorted me a box also....so I got 4 boxes of shells for 217.21 and that’s even after some sort of discount coupon I had....getting this ammo has been a nightmare,I took pictures of my receipt and the shells I got guess I just call them Monday because they are closed,and I’m sure they are out of stock again of the 9 shot I was suppose to get and the box they shorted me so here’s to another month probably for waiting on it ,if they even send it to me,who knows...
