Fed tss 3in #9 1.75 oz
Nothing to write home about but just a very nice, even, hunting pattern.

I mean absolutely zero disrespect when I say, that’s a horrible pattern.

First, you shouldn’t be shooting that distance. Pull your target in to 40.
Second, those are larger than the standard 10” circle.
Even with both these two above and a 3” shell, you should get way better numbers with 9s

There were 11 critical hits in that target. I could honestly give a rats  about what kind of numbers I should be getting. When I flip that paper over the entire sheet is covered in an even blanket of shot. The distance was estimated at 45 then laser verified later. If your concern is for "no talk over 40" I in no way insinuate I was shooting, hunting, or killing at such range so I could also care less about your opinion on how far I should be shooting.

This was meant purely for the next guy while he's doing research, h on what to and what not to buy. That is the principal reason for this section of the forum in my opinion.

I agree with ManfromGreenSwamp....for a 12gauge with #9 TSS that is very poor pattern. I get better numbers and over all pattern in 10" /20" with 3" Longbeard 5's with a Carlson .670 tube out of 870 SPM. Not trying to be a jerk and it has nothing to do with "nothing over 40", but I wouldn't hunt with that combo when a MUCH better and cheaper option is available. Heck, I get better numbers/patterns than those out of .655 Remington Ventilator with #5 Winchester XX Magnums.

I think the Ventilator is a great factory choke
