Anyone using a RMR type 2 with a Meadow Creek mount? I am wondering if you are using the sealing plate that is offered by Trijicon with this mount. I actually can't believe that the plate is not included with the purchase of such an expensive sight.

Most mounts do not require the sealing plate. That's why it isn't included.

You can email Meadow Creek and he will let you know if it is needed. Good luck with it, great sight, Trijicon is fantastic.....

Thanks Tom i'll send an email. And yes I love the size and weight of it. Now just waiting on the new gun to put it on.

I emailed Meadow Creek and he said he believes that that Trijicon recommends sealing plates with all mounts. I just ordered one but like I said before they should be included. Seems like such a small piece that seals the battery can possibly prevent lots of problems.

It's going to be on a Winchester SX3 20 with the Meadow Creek mount. Just got the sight brand new and I love the looks of it. So much smaller and lighter that my Aimpoint. Can't wait to get it all set up.

I went with the tridium green triangle vs the red dot. I love it and with no on/off there's never a dead battery. It works flawlessly at heavy fog daybreak.

I debated back and forth between the red dot with battery and the triangle non battery model. I like the smaller dot the type 2 has so that's what I went with. But not worrying about a battery must be a nice feeling.
