Fiddle Box From Mr. Watkins & Trumpet from gergg
« on: February 15, 2021, 07:27:08 PM »
Got two wonderful calls in this week, first is a Fiddle Box from Mr. Marlin "Don" Watkins in Butternut/Persimmon, this one was a very hard choice, I listened to the files he sent me several time and kept coming back to this one, a Butternut/Mora and a all Walnut, they all did something well but to my ear this one did everything well even though it was the worst recording of the 3 because it was so windy. I truly wish I could have got another, I think I would have also gotten the Butternut Mora, though I really liked that all Walnut as well.

Next is a Tulipwood Trumpet from gergg I have to say I like his new design quite a bit, to me it is much more comfortable in the hand and easier to work the back pressure on the bell and easier to draw with as well.
