I have at times thought what I was doing sounded more like a squirrel laughing at me. I'm pretty familiar with the sound of a squirrel laughing at me.

While working outdoor shows I've heard a lot of dying chickens and choking ducks.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

Back in the late '50s around basketball sectional time the local 5 & dime stores would sell calls they called bird whistles/noise makers. They were nothing but single reed mouth yelpers.
