The old clear plastic Hayden’s is a classic. I’ve had one for a long time and it sounds pretty good to me.

I have the Primos version - they call it a peacock call I think, but I use it as a woodpecker and it has gotten unwilling birds to sound off.

I have the haydels woodpecker. Its a good call....to be honest though. you can use haydels hawk call as a woodpecker call as well. I believe they even show that in there video. The hawk doesn't get as loud as there specific woodpecker call, but it is easier to actually run, and sounds a little better in my opinion. the only difference between the 2 calls is the hawk call is open after the reed, and the woodpecker has a tube for volume that's it. same call. Haydels makes good calls for as cheap and simple as they are.
