I'm not sure Al and Josh get enough credit for their turkey calls. Their scratch boxes are my favorite of any maker that I've tried and every call I get from them is outstanding. I don't hunt short boxes very much so I don't keep too many of them around. I bought a jatoba/limba short box in 2015 from them that is outstanding and I never could let it go.  I recently noticed the handled short boxes on their website and asked Al about them. Intrigued, I ordered one that arrived today.  What a smoking call this is!  I've included a photo of the two calls I mentioned......

Great pick up there!!  They're handled shortboxes are my favorite design.  They fit comfortably in the hands and they sound fantastic!!

SS makes some fine calls , i agree i like those short handle boxes
