Stock Weight difference
« on: September 22, 2020, 01:49:33 PM »
Finally caved and picked up one of the wood stock compact 21” barrel 870s used. Was goin to piddle around with my first 20 gauge turkey gun.  It’s only two ounces lighter than my 535 I’ve had for several years now (love that thing).  The little Remington even feels a little back heavy with the wood stocks. Been looking at a set of synthetic stocks for almost $100. My question is would synthetic make the gun any lighter? I like to save as much money as I can for the gas tank during spring season. But have been fightin this 20 gauge bug for a few years and want one I’ll enjoy carrying as much or more than the 535.
