how does chestnut run? raspy? medium? higher pitched?

This call overall is medium rasp. The left side has more rasp. Chestnut is not as common as some woods but used in box calls. What is cool about this Chestnut is that its from a real old barn or house beam. Bottom has the natural age marks and coloring. Some of the worn holes go all the way through. Really interesting piece of wood with some history.
