Well I went out this morning only to be greeted by a pop up rain shower just before walk in time. Once the rain stopped I walked to a spot on the edge of a field where I've killed in years past. The sunrise was quiet with not a bird heard until 7:30 I get a gobble from down in the woods. Thinking he's gonna work right to me since he's sounding like he's interested he ends up in the field strutting at about 70 yards. Soft talking him I watch him strut his stuff until the hen shows up feeding. I watch him breed her twice and then get him to break and walk my way. He struts to within 15 yards and the rest is history. Good mature bird
11 1/2" beard!
22.13 pounds
1 1/4" & 1 3/8" spurs
