Don't have one but the Retay shotguns in general get excellent reviews on www.shotgunworld.com, give them a look there.

They really do. Definitely worth a look. SW is a great site for all things shotgun as well. Warning though, it can be addicting!

I've heard the hype about them and stopped by their booth this year at the convention. It's quality you can feel. When/if I ever upgrade that will be the direction I go, especially for a waterfowl gun.

Coming out with a 20ga in a few weeks according to the rep I spoke with.

Looking to get one of the new Retay Turkey gun and was curious if any of yall had one and how it is.

Ive been eyeing those as well. A good buddy of mine knows the VP of Retay through duck hunting. He said they are really good guns, but not on the same level as Benelli or Beretta. Only issue they had was the chokes seizing at times if not kept greased, but duck hunting can be a pretty harsh environment.

 They returned my call today . 20 gauge is 6 1/4 pound . The 20 turkey model will be next year . The regular 20 will ship this year . There is a small town limited edition 12 turkey model that will be shipping in a week or two .

JMHO, but grease should be SOP for screw in choke tubes.

I shoot Retay guns in waterfowl season as well as turkey. I have a Masai Mara Turkey XT for the former and used it for all of last season in Fl as well as PA. It's a solid gun that's right up with any Benelli or Beretta. I replaced the rail and went with fiber optic sights on mine. Comprehensive photos from patterning on to each bird killed with it can be found on my Instagram page. If you'd like to view them feel free to inbox me here for the link to it. I'll be glad to answer any questions you have

I use some old Redhead breech plug anti-seize on my choke tubes.  Its made like a chap stic tube.  Going on 20 yrs with no problem getting chokes in or out.

Here is something interesting I stumbled across last evening....
If you look up the MPN# R251XTBL22 on gun.deals this is what comes up. And although when you look at the dealers ,none have in stock and some of them say 26" bbl. this MPN denotes a 20 gauge with a 22" bbl.
This is the best way I've deciphered Retays codes
T=3.5"
W=3" in 12 gauge
R=20 gauge
Not sure about the 251 ,it's in all the MPNs
Then the camo code TMBR= Timber, EXTBLK= Black synthetic
Then the last # is the barrel length
Again, this is the way I'm seeing it used consistently.
And so fellow 20 gauge lovers....not sure when,but it appears we may very well have a turkey specific model on the way!!!
The 26" & 28" 20s are supposed to be out sometime very soon but just seeing the 20 in a turkey model really gets me goin!!!

Retay will have some exciting news regarding turkey guns before the  2021 season.  I’d hold off on buying right now if you’re in the market for a new 20 ga or 12.

I have the Gordion turkey and love it. Contacted a rep for the company a few weeks back about shortening the stock as it is a tad long for me. He said there is about a half inch you can cut off which will make it fit me perfect. Love the gun and patterns well. Shoot Apex 3 inch 9s out of it with a Jebs headhunter .665

The Retay guns in general are getting good press over on Shotgunworld. if I were in the market for a semi-auto for turkey, the Retay would definitely be one I`d consider seriously. Particularly so since Remington is currently out of business, the V3 Turkey Pro would be hard to come by ( the V3 is a terrific gun ), but only comes in 12 gauge anyway if one is in the market for a 20.

I know it`s not a big deal, but just personally I wish they had chosen another, perhaps a little less " loud " way, to put their brand name on the gun.
