Title: Mossberg 500, 20ga choke question Help
Post by: chefrific on January 13, 2020, 11:04:19 AM
Just bit the bullet on a 500 super bantam 20.  My first mossberg, so I'm not terribly familiar with them. When looking at ckokes, does it use the winchester choke?  I've seen a couple of different styles of chokes for mossbergs.  Some say use wincherster some say "accu-choke" and I just want to be sure I'm ordering the correct one.
Looking at getting the carlson tss choke.

Thanks for helping out this dummy.

With handload #9 TSS in the 2.75" load, my Mossy 500 20 gauge preferred the IC .555 over the IC .562. Just throwing that out there.

I love carrying this little gun pump and leaving the bigger gauges behind.

I ordered the carlson in .555, and few boxes of Fed TSS #9's
Will definitely look into the IC as another option. Thanks!
I've been wanting to jump into the 20 gauge boat for a while, and found a sweet deal on a barley used little super bantam youth model that I couldn't pass up.
It's going to be hard to leave my old faithful 12 at the house but look forward to this new chapter.... and less recoil.
