I got a call from George yesterday. He was telling me that at the end of this year he was closing down his catalog and online sells He is ready to really enjoy retirement.
Sorry to learn that. They've been a great resource. I hope someone fills the void.

Have never dealt with them but have heard nothing but good about them since I came to this site. I guess I had better try to get some of those Hooks calls from them soon from them I have heard so much about.

Getting the Midwest catalog has always been a cabin fever relieving treat, will miss it for sure.

That is a shame have bought from them a couple times and talked to George on the phone as well, great guy to deal with. Hope he has a long, fun retirement!
That catalog in the mail meant it was almost time..... and I always enjoyed the hand drawn covers!!

I am sorry to hear that. I would end up buying something from them nearly every year and getting the catalog in the mail got me really fired up for the season.
I always looked forward receiving catalog. Like unwrapping the first Christmas gift.
They were an example of great customer service.

A sign of the times I guess, this company will be missed, one of the only companies dedicated to supply the needs of wild turkey hunters. Have been keeping the catalog for years and it follows the new generations of call makers over time. I hope a company steps in, another like it and not a big box store online. With the small number of dedicated turkey hunters, I'm afraid companies like Midwest will be going out like the Dodo Bird. We'll have to rely on the likes of The Turkey Hunting Forum to keep us apprised of the calls and esoteric stuff we need for turkey hunting such as vests, guns, chokes, camo clothes, gloves, face masks, turkey hunting books and the like. Midwest will be missed, like a good friend gone.......
Man that stinks. One of the most nostalgic catalogs ever with a wide range of good turkey stuff.

Yoder. He has thought about selling it but nothing has worked out so far. You interested give him a call. I agree it would be nice if some one took over and offered the same stuff. Not a big box chain

What they told me. No firm offers and they set their closing date.
Glad he gets to retire,but I'll also miss getting the catalog and purchasing a few things each year..
George let me know a few months ago. Certainly will be missed.

Wow, really sorry to hear this. Like many of you, it was a good mail day to get that catalog. I have a collection of them but am missing some (2003 and some older). Would anyone have some they are willing to sell, please PM me as I am interested!
I'll have to look thru my catalogs I don't remember when I started getting them but it's been a long time. Hate to hear about the closing I bought at least a few things every year, really the only Turkey specific catalog
I will miss that Catalog ! I would buy stuff every year for at least the past 10 years.
will definitely miss this . i looked forward to hand drawn artwork on cover as it always reminded me of places and hunts i had been on as well as hidden items in picture.
